SmartQ T10 raises its stake to 9.7 inches

Monday, June 20th, 2011

SmartQ T10The new tablet SmartQ T10 and the departure last week of the interesting Archos G9 again shows that the tablets Android market is the liveliest and any manufacturer wants to compete. The advantage for consumers is that prices will go down and have aa lot to choose from.

The SmartQ T10 is a new tablet with Android 2.2 and 9.7-inch screen with 1024 x 768 pixels (panel IPS ), whose touchscreen technology is a combination of capacitive and resistive screens. The type of technology used is piezoelectric multi 10 points, improving the chances of resistive at a lower price than they cost the full capacitive.

Responsible for moving the Froyo version of Android is a chip Cortex-A9 at 800 MHz together with a GPU Mali 400 and 512 MB ??RAM . With those credentials, 1080p playback is a fact, but with only 8 GB of internal memory (expandable with microSD terjetas) and end HDMI is a functionality not really take advantage.

The thickness of this SmartQ T10 is 14 mm, and weight touches the 800 grams ( 770 gr ). The battery of 7500 mAh, it seems one of their best data, but will have to see if it is finally able to receive the update HoneyComb that becomes a workable model, then with 10.1 inches if we think it is a necessity.

The price of this tablet SmartQ T10 in the 8 GB version and only WiFi is about 250 euros. The new Archos models I think are best without doubt.

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

The flagship of Samsung as far as Android concerns can finally cross off your to-do list to update Froyo. Although it was announced for the past day 11, the update has been made a bit of begging. The first to receive the new data packet has been Vodafone customers, and provides that all owners of this smartphone be accessed Android 2.2 in the coming days.

The upgrade comes just one day after the HTC Legend. The HTC model had considerable delay in reaching Froyo and few users were unhappy with the upgrade policy of Mountain View.

The most bizarre thing is that, unlike the Legend, the Samsung Galaxy S does not receive the update automatically on the mobile. The only way to upgrade to 2.2 is Android by Kies, manager of desktop applications developed by Samsung for Samsung Apps. In other words, you need to connect the terminal to a PC with internet connection and run the update from Kies. Those who have not installed this software you can download for free at the Samsung Web Apps. (more…)

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

This week may be the final to see what we offer Android Gingerbread, numbering possibly in the Android 3.0. The jump from the current version, Android 2.2, is expected to be substantial. That you may be getting an idea, we leave you with what we expect from Android 3.0:

* More power please. Although in principle the power requirements of the new Android will not be very different from today, the possibility that this new version can be combined with NVIDIA Tegra 2 platforms like us to dream with a qualitative leap in their power. For sure, Android and Nvidia are a safe start to the new terminal later this year.
