The G1 offers a storage capacity of standard 1 GB with optional MicroSD expansion to 8 GB. This amount might seem sufficient, but with competitors who come to offer a total of 16 GB, the truth is that the G1 looks more expensive.

7. Limited data

Google to go, but with a limit of 1 GB. T-Mobile has announced succinctly a limitation of 1 GB of data for the G1.

However, the iPhone has a data connection “unlimited.” Users who make use of moderate or large data not take long to reach the 1 GB limit, leaving them with a speed of 50Kbps. The mobile phone T-Mobile G1 and critics have been slow compared to the Apple iPhone and RIM Backberry. However, since there are several omissions, limitations, and complaints about Google’s first attempt to enter the mobile phone market, the G1 and Google Android are not going very well stand. These are the top 10 complaints about the G1.

1. Multi

A small oversight, but those who are familiar or happy with Apple’s innovative multi-touch interface will surely become disenchanted when they find out that this feature is not present on the G1. (more…)

In terms of hardware components, the Nexus S has a four-inch screen with a multitouch Super AMOLED WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels. According to its developers, is designed to fit the contour of the palm of the hand more naturally, using a curved glass dubbed by Samsung as “Contour Display.”

This technology has also a light capacity 1.5 times higher than a conventional LCD display. However, it is not clear that all terminals Nexus S will have this same screen. For a supply problem with Samsung panels that make up the screens in some markets such as Russia, it will be Super Clear LCD.

With respect to the processor, chipset is notable for the “hummingbird” of a gigahertz and 512 of RAM, along with a solid SSD storage of 16 gigabytes. The phone lacks MicroSD memory slot to expand storage capacity, which is common among other hardware features Android terminals. (more…)

On December 6, Google introduced its new phone Nexus S, made in collaboration with Samsung and provided with the latest version of Android 2.3, called “gingerbread.” It is the first phone based on Android to have this new version. However, advances over its predecessor Nexus One are not spectacular. The focus is mainly on the possibilities of the new operating system, capable of withstanding including NFC cards or SIP protocol for IP voice calls. (more…)
