Launch a handheld on the market today is a big risk. On the one hand all the investment that has launched a new product, but on the other side due to fierce competition in the mobile gaming market we have today, mainly due to next-generation smartphones.

Under the official license SNK comes a new version of the Neo Geo will apparently will have a score of classic games from the company, current as well as others will be added to the catalog as they are developed.

All this can be enjoyed on a screen of 4.3 inches. The console also includes 2 gigabytes of internal storage and SD card slot, and a 2200 mAh battery will provide about five hours of continuous use.

The hardware will be enough to develop games according to today’s standards, but it is still unclear what kind of conecctividad include the console, an important point to compete with smartphones and laptops today.

No price or release date announced, the Neo Geo will be launched from a large number of competitors. With Sony and Nintendo 3DS Vita as an industry leader in video game platforms and IOS and Android gaining a large share of mobile market, we know that can happen with this new console will seek to compete with all segments. If the price makes a difference, we’ll probably see some good sales of the console.
